Scottie Pippen Is Broke and Trying to Comeback To The NBA

Scottie Pippen

This story makes my stomach hurt! During All-Star weekend, Scottie Pippen hinted that he wanted to make a comback to the NBA. There was a lot of speculation, but the true answer surfaced on Friday. Pippen is being sued by U.S. Bank for $5.021 million due to principal, interest and attorney fees from a dispute over a private jet and company Pippen once owned.

Here is Pippen’s Response:

“the charter-plane issue is one of many poor business decisions that were made primarily by a former agent, whom he blames for causing him to lose about $27 million in bad investments and questionable accounting.”

I could even go there with him because there are a lot of stories of players getting duped by con men who pose as agents. But a little further research into Pippen’s salary history(not including endorsements, playoff winnings, and other appearance incomes), Pippen should not be broke.

1988  $725,000

1989  $575,000

1990  $670,000

1991 $765,000

1992  $2,770,000

1993  $3,425,000

1994  $3,075,000

1995  $2,225,000

1996  $2,925,000

1997  $2,250,000

1998  $2,775,000

1999  $11,000,000

2000  $14,795,642

2001  $13,750,000

2002  $18,083,564

2003  $19,727,524
2004  $4,917,000

2005 $5,408,700

Career (may be incomplete) $109,862,430

He made almost $110 million from salary alone. I would easily say he made another 20-30 million from Endorsements. That is more than one deal gone bad…..that is a lot of fucks ups.

Now we have to see him embarass himself trying to chase Lebron and Melo around. Being a Chicago Native, this is a damn shame!

Screw him, he should be laughed at. I don’t feel sorry for him because he was stupid enough to blow somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 million dollars. You bet he needs help. Mental help.

This is a shame. He let over $100 million slip through his hand.
