Toby Maguire And Kirsten Dunst Get Together For Spiderman’s Third Installment
Posted by BrianOne would think that going to a Midnight screening of a movie would be an easy task to pull off. Well that was not the case. People were out in huge numbers to see the third installment of the Spiderman Trilogy. Now the question is… Was it worth it?
With about 93% satisfaction I have to say YES. Not that’s as a fan not a Spiderman purist.
While the spidey purists want to debate “the movie” vs. “the comic”. I watched from a perspective that asks for a good crisp picture, with good action, and a good story.
Here are the facts of the movie:
In this webisode of Spiderman Peter Parker (Toby Maguire) battles 3 villains: Sandman, Venom, and though they never said it, Green Goblin. He also battle with his turbulent relationship with struggling actress Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst). Once again parker finds himself struggling between satisfy his friends and saving the city.
Here are my opinion:
Now I told you, all I was looking for was a good crisp entertaining movie. The Picture quality is the best I have ever seen. The actions scenes were “Top Notch”. Which leads me to why this movie got a 93% satisfaction rate.
2 Major problems with the movie:
1) I don’t know who had the great idea of having Mary Jane Sing but… WHOA!!!
2) There is a high level of sappiness in this movie. The love and relationship angle in this movie was overdone. Give me more Spiderman and a lil less Peter Parker. I believe there was less crying in JOHN Q. I’m sorry seeing Spiderman break down multiple times becomes a bit much. MAN UP YOUR SPIDERMAN
Now I did watch it at MIDNIGHT so I could be wrong…Hit me up and let me know if 93% is a good grade. If I’m way off base please tell me…

You are not off base. Spidey was a little sappy. MJ’s singing was unbearable. The picture quality was great and the action scenes were excellent.
This Spiderman movie was definitely the best yet!!!! I can’t grade it on a percentage scale, but I definitely give it two thumbs up! I saw it at midnight and then went back to see it again over the weekend. I always love a good flick that the whole fam can enjoy, and this is definitelty one that has something for everyone. Disagree with Brian about the sentimental aspects of the movie, the relationship part was needed and accurate to the comic book character of Peter Parker—Mary Jane was always his obsession, and the struglle between being a superhero or a people-pleaser always added the twists and turns to Spiderman’s adventures that kept him as one of my childhood favorites! This was definitly a movie that had it all, great story line, great bad guys, great action scenes, great graphics, suspense, etc… in my opinion, it’s the total package! They even leave you with the expectation of more to come, venom and green goblin aren’t completely out of the picture, and we’ll see if the Sandman decides what he wants to do with his new found freedom.
Hey Just my Word,
You gotta admit that Peter Parker crying so hard that his bottom lip was shaking was a lil too tear-jerker for an Action movie.
Top 3 cry scenes of the weekend…
Peter Parker- Spiderman 3
AJ- Sopranos
Tracy Mcgrady- Houston Rockets
Line of the movie- “Is lil Goblin junior going to cry”- Peter Parker with symbiote suit

Well I thought the first cry scene was appropriate and it was brief,( with Mary Jane at the bridge in the park) The second cry scene was brief as well, and equally as appropriate to me. I think what people forget, and maybe this is why I always loved spiderman comics as a kid, is that Peter Parker was just a boy, a very sensitive, nerdy kid who’s only personal obsession was Mary Jane, and who’s private life evolved into Spiderman–Peter had to learn how to become a super hero and use his powers, and the spiderman comics focus more on that development at times than other comics, Superman had glimpses of that, and I’m a big Super Man fan too, but to me the writers of this SpiderMan Trilogy really nailed the character of Parker, and I’m loving that they just didn’t screw it up. So to me, seeing Toby portray that makes me take my hat off to him, I think those who criticized the so called “sappiness” didn’t really understand the psychological profile of Peter Parker in the comics, so they can’t really appreciate it on the Big Screen–and besides it’s not like the writers didn’t balance it out, they more than balanced it, you had a great love story, a story of friendship and loyalty, the bad guys of course, which were also great because they gave background to them as well, and then Parker’s own personal struggles to deal with his past and his present. Each movie they develope more of Parker’s own awareness about who he is, and how he’s got to handle himself, that’s just like the comic books, so I love it! They didn’t overdo anything, so to me you give credit to whom credit is due. And 151 Million (that’s just the Gross-that doesn’t count what the box office actually pulled in some figure around 350m) say they’re definitly due! But I totally agree with you on the line of the movie, the second for me would have probably been the Daily Bugle scene, “you want forgiveness, get religion.” Peter was showing his “heartless” side and it was comical to say the least.
