 Last night, Paula Abdul and Holly Robinson Peete were among the many celebrities that attended the dinner held to bring attention to the Lupus disease. Lupus affects over two millions Americans, 90% of which are women. Lupus is a leading cause of stroke, kidney and premature cardiovascular disease in young women and there is no cure.

Some of the other people who were in attendance were Wayne Newton, Julie Benz, Taraji P. Henson, Michael Chiklis, Paula Abdul, Jay Mohr, Nikki Cox, John Salley, Shondrella Avery, CCH Pounder, Mario Van Peebles, Melissa Joan Hart, Bernie Brillstein, Marla Maples, Howie “D” Dorough, Rick and Kathy Hilton.

Carol’s Daughter has agreed to donate a portion of the proceed from the purchase of “Candy Paint” towards finding a cure for Lupus.
