Clinton Portis Told To Shut The Hell Up

Just a week ago, it was all a joke. This week, Clinton Portis, has changed his beliefs about dog fighting and how funny it is.
Last week, when asked about Michael Vicks’s dog fighting allegations, Portis said “It’s his property; it’s his dogs. If that’s what he wants to do, do it.”
 It was funny until the animal rights groups sent mail and continued to contact the front office of the Washington Redskins. This caused Portis to do an about face.
This is what he had to say this week:
“I had no idea the love that people have for animals or didn’t consider it when I made those comments,” Portis said. “I’m not even a pets man. I’ve got a fish — that’s the easiest thing to keep up. I’ve never been into dogs, never dealt with dogs, don’t like playing with dogs. But at the same time there’s a lot of people who are crazy over pets.”Â
Portis said in the future he will only talk about his situations and nobody else. Not a bad idea.Â
