Wesley Snipes Says Race Is The Reason

Wesley Snipes claims his race has worsened prosecution for his present tax problems.
In a June 4 motion to dismiss an indictment on federal charges of tax evasion, the African-American actor’s attorneys claimed prosecutors filed additional charges against Snipes and not two other, Caucasian defendants.
The October 17 indictment charges Snipes with fraudulently claiming refunds totalling nearly $12 million in 1996 and 1997 for income taxes already paid. The 44-year-old actor is also charged with failure to file income tax returns from 1999 through 2004.
According to the indictment, his income tax preparers have a history of filing false returns to reap illegal payments for their clients.
A federal judge is still considering the motions.
Is this a good time to pull the race car…I don’t know?! Let’s just hope the judge didn’t waste 2 hours of his life watching One Night Stand (and some of Snipes’ other movies). If so, he can chalk this one up in the ‘L’ column.
Wesley is trippin….Don’t pay taxes for a decade and then pull the race card. What did he think was supposed to happen when he makes all that moeny in the last ten years, but tax day comes and goes. The brother making $10 grand a year knows he has to pay taxes. Wesley should have saved his race card for another fight.
This is exactly what gives people the cause to down play real race issues in America. Even if he is having to pay for a crime heavier than a white person who did the crime, at this point, he should shut up, because he knew he had no business committing tax fraud. Wrong is wrong and if you put your life in the hands of a system that hates you by actually given them just cause to punish you, then God help you, because He’s the only one who can. STOP USING THE RACE CARD TO PROMOTE YOUR WROND DOINGS, YOU AREN’T HELPING YOUR PEOPLE BY DOING THAT YOU’RE ONLY HELPING YOURSELF!!!
Geez Snipes, yes I guess the IRS now only seeks NON-WORKING BLACK ACTORS for unpaid taxes. (NOT) The IRS gets a payment from me every month, guess it’s because I don’t feel immune to going to jail for being white, I just did the paperwork and do what is recommended. Snipes might need to HIRE an accountant if he can’t make the effort to cover his own ass.
