Girl’s Feet Severed on Roller Coaster
Posted by BrandonWe have all seen and heard roller coaster horror stories. Thursday (6-21-07) a 16 year old girl feet were severed on a ride at Six Flags in Kentucky.Â
Superman Tower of Power malfunctioned in Louisville and a cord wrapped around a girl feet and severed her legs at the ankle. Superman is a free falling roller coaster that raises up over 170 ft in the air and drops to a abrupt stop 20 ft above the ground.Â
This is message to all, Lets be careful out there this summer. I recognize this was an accident and could have happened to anyone that is willing to ride the roller coaster. But there are often times stories about people choking on gum or wearing jewelry that turn out to be freak accidents. Â
Are roller coasters safe to ride?

This is exactly what I expected to find out after reading the title s Really Going On. Thanks for informative article
The ride in the pictuer is not superman, it’s archrophobia a ride of a completly different type located at Six Flags Over Georgia. Superman is a free fall while Archrophobia is a Giant Gyro Drop. YOu will notice the magnetic brakes and the fact that there is one complete enclosure vs superman with it’s individual cars. Also the seats on Archrophobia tilt. They operate in 2 completly different ways. Please find a picture of Superman: Tower of Power the ride in question as having this ride pictured on this artical gives the wrong impression
