American Idol winner Reuben Studdard got married this weekend to Surata Zuri McCants. The couple wed in front of 300 guest – all dressed in black and white – in a ceremony in Canterbury United Methodist Church in his native Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday.

McCants, 30, wore a white and ivory Casablanca gown, while Studdard, 29, wore a black tuxedo, white vest, and a white hand-tied bow tie.

Studdard met flight attendant McCants at a CD signing in Atlanta, Georgia in October 2006 in Walmart. Struck by her beauty, Studdard followed through the aisles of the store and asked her out. The story was written from that point.
