Rapper 50 CENT struggles to find a girlfriend because he’s convinced most women are only after his multi-million dollar fortune. The hip-hop star, real name Curtis Jackson, who has boosted profits from his music career with film roles, various endorsement deals and a clothing line, admits he finds it difficult to trust potential partners because of string of bad experiences.

Jackson faced a $50 million (£34.2 million) lawsuit earlier this year (09) from his ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins, the mother of his young son Marquise, who alleged the rapper reneged on a deal to share half of his future earnings with her. The suit was dismissed, but Jackson insists he’s now wary of new lovers. German magazine Bild quotes Jackson as saying,

"I’m single and haven’t had a girlfriend for quite a long time. It’s difficult for me to trust a woman. Men are attracted to beautiful women. Women are attracted to men who offer security – financial security. And if you have money and you are famous, women find that sexy. "You never know what she really wants. A lot of people marry without knowing the true motive of their partners. I won’t get ripped off."

The downside of prolonged relationship disputes between parents is the effect on children. 50 CENT has branded his current feud with his ex SHANIQUA TOMPKINS his “toughest” challenge to date – because their strained relationship is having a negative affect on their young son.

The rapper and his ex have been battling in court after 50 Cent’s home in Long Island, New York – where Tompkins and 11-year-old Marquise had been residing – was destroyed in May in what police have called a “suspicious” fire. 50 Cent is suing Tompkins for defamation after she accused him of starting the blaze.

She was recently granted a restraining order against her ex, preventing the star from being on the same premises as her. But, while the court order does not stop 50 Cent from seeing their son, he insists it has put Marquise in a difficult situation – because the boy doesn’t want to upset his mum by spending time with his dad.
50 Cent tells MTV.com:

“I think he doesn’t want his mum to feel like he’s a traitor. …The time I spent away is the time he developed this thing he’s afraid to break with her. There’s nothing you can do about that. This is the toughest (thing I’ve had to face), because he’s my motivation.  In the summertime, for the first two years I was successful, my son has travelled with us on those tours. He was on the Rock the Mic Tour; he was on the Anger Management Tour. This summer, when he’s free, it’s, like, no communication. It’s tough. I’m not going through a custody battle; just a transition. I’d like to be able to just see my baby.”

Hopefully they get that worked out soon enough. My bet is that with suspected arson, restraining orders, and defamation suits, this situation will get a whole lot worse before it gets better.

Here’s an odd crush-50 Cent and Phylicia Rashad. The man who dated Vivica A. Fox and who was recently linked to Ms. Beautiful-Ciara, has the hots for an even older Rashad. In a recent statement, he says “She was gorgeous. Jesus, I met her recently – she’s still very attractive.” Ironically, Rashad, who turned 60 last month, played Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ mother in hit Broadway show A Raisin In The Sun.

50 Cent has denied allegations his new G-Unit song ‘You So Tough’ is aimed at T.I. 50 insists it’s just about “real-life situations”. In the song 50, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo appear to take shots at T.I. with references to the star’s recent illegal weapons charges.

In the song, 50 says: “Nowadays this rap s**t ain’t adding up/How n**gas get caught with 10 machine guns, only get 12 months?”

T.I. reached a plea deal with prosecutors in March over various charges, stemming from an incident last October when he allegedly tried to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers from an undercover agent.
As part of his plea deal, the rapper was sentenced to one year in prison and a minimum of 1,000 hours of community service.

But 50 Cent claims the song isn’t targeted at anyone in particular and is about realistic incidences, just like TV crime series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

He tells MTV.com, “It’s like ‘CSI’: You use real-life situations to create something that’s entertaining without being specific.

“When have you known me to be indirect with an issue? If I had a problem with any artist, trust me, they would know.

“It’s not really directed at him. It’s me taking real-life situations. These things are relevant to hip-hop, period. I make something that’s interesting enough for people to sink their teeth into, and I move forward.”

Intentional or not it does come off to be a shot at T.I., but I have to commend 50 for stepping to the plate to set the story straight.  This could have easily escalated into something that Hip Hop doesn’t need.
