Is This Really How You “Walk It Out”?
Posted by BrianThis may not be how you Walk It Out, but this is pretty damn funny.
The Penguins also walk it out pretty hard here.
New Releases - July 3, 2007
Posted by RodT.I. is set to release his 5th album T.I. vs. T.I.P. With productions from Wyclef, Mannie Fresh, Timbaland and Just Blaze, if the rest of the album is as nice as his first couple of singles this could be his best one yet.
Kelly Rowland will be dropping her 2nd solo album today entitled Ms. Kelly. Originally entitled My Story, Rowland wasn’t sold on the vibe of the original album so she added productions by Scott Storch and Sean Garrett. I’ll be honest, I don’t have her first solo, but “Like This” is a hot joint and I think I will be copping Ms. Kelly today.
LET’S CONTINUE TO SUPPORT OUR BLACK ARTIST
New Music: Amerie - Gotta Work
Posted by BrianNew Video from Amerie - Gotta Work. Watching the video and even listening to the song, sounded a lot like Beyonce type of song and video. The only thing either really has working for them is that Amerie is fine as hell. Outside of that, this video is pretty weak to go along with a less than average song. She also has too many Diddy type moments when her face is too close to the screen.
If I think about it, Amerie has only ever had one decent song, so this should not be a surprise.
New Music: Bone Thugs Feat Mariah Carey & Bow Wow - Lil Love
Posted by BrianBone Thugs grabbed Mariah and Bow Wow for this track which is not bad. For some reason I like Bow Wow verse. Seems to be adding a little more swagger to his rhymes. Mariah hits a few erky jerky dance moves in this video that has me shaking my head, but her looks make up for it.
New Music: Kanye West - Stronger
Posted by BrianKanye once again proves that he is the last bit of originality and creativity in the industry. The song is actually slick once you get past the extra arrogance that accompanies every track of his. This is better than the usual hip hop video of an artist standing in front of two cars with all the people from the neighborhood in the background and a couple of dogs in the screen.
This video was produced by Hype Wiliams.
New Music: Chrisette Michele If I Had My Way
Posted by BrianHere is a new video from Chrisette Michele. She has been all over the blogosphere as her album just dropped this past Tuesday. In the past she has appeared on the chorus on Jay-Z’s “Lost Ones” and a handful of hooks on Nas ‘”Hip-Hop is Dead.”
There was a very good review sent through Associated Press this week in which it said, “Chrisette Michele establishes herself, not as a superior version of the R&B singers already on the scene, but as the kind of artist who is, quite possibly, one-of-a-kind.
