This may be all legit, but it is kind of ridiculous how people start suing a person when they start making a few dollars. At any rate, Brandy and Ray-J’s mom, Sonja Norwood, is suing Kim Kardashian for $120,000 in credit card debt that she says Kim used without permission.

People reports:

R&B singer Brandy Norwood’s mother filed a lawsuit Monday against Kim Kardashian accusing her of running up more than $120,000 in credit card charges without permission.

The suit, which also names Kardashian’s siblings Khloe, Kourtney and Robert Jr., alleges they ran up the charges on the mother’s card in 2006 and 2007. It seeks the return of the money plus 10 percent interest.

Kim Kardashian denied the allegations, telling PEOPLE she and her siblings had Norwood’s permission to make the purchases.

“We have her signature on all items,” Kardashian says.

In the lawsuit, Norwood’s mother, Sonja Norwood, who is also her manager, alleges Kim Kardashian had only been authorized in 2004 to make one purchase on the Norwood American Express card in Kim’s then-capacity as a stylist for Brandy (Brandy’s brother, Ray J, also appeared in the infamous sex tape with Kim).

I tend to believe that this lawsuit is some BS. If it were true, then she would be looking for more than 10% interest unless she knows a way to get a better credit card rate than I do. Or maybe Brandy’s mom has a couple of cards and is moving the money back and forth. Either way, how do you just figure out someone ran up $120K on your credit cards?

When I started writing this post it was going to be a post about Ray J and Lil’ Kim dating.  But then I thought…”WHO CARES?!”  I sure as hell don’t.  It did however make me think about celebrity relationships.  Are they really based on love or are they just publicity stunts?  I say that because most of them tend to get into a hot and heavy relationship when they’re close to releasing a new movie or album. 

Right off the top of my head Will and Jada (For some reason I’m not sold on Jay-Z and Beyonce) is the only celebrity couple I can think of who have been together over time.

Now I know there are countless others who are married to someone who is not in the spotlight and that’s wonderful.  I guess my problem is I think some of our celebrities are using “love” and “marriage” as a tool to make money and I think it needs to be addressed.  We’re in a time where there are so many broken homes and  families in our community, and when are kids turn on the idiot box they’re seeing our stars jumping from one person to the next.  One day this brother is dating sister girl, but the next day another sister is having that brothers baby.

Leave it to some folks and they’ll find a way to blame this on hip hop (if they haven’t already), but isn’t this phenomenon happening with our actors and actresses, musicians and athletes as well?  Has our true commitment, love and dedication to one another as black men and women died or has it just changed with the times? Am I way off here?  Let me know.

This brother would start making better decisions!  Ray J, toyboy lover of Whitney Houston, has shot a controversial new video singing the praises of marijuana.

The “R&B singer”, who made headlines earlier this year when a sex tape featuring him and ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian was leaked, directs and stars in the music video for smoking weed, alongside Snoop Dogg and Slim Thug.

Ray J insists the song and video were made purely to highlight the medicinal qualities of the drug, which he was prescribed three years ago to help him sleep.

He says, “In Los Angeles and in nine other states you can smoke weed legally because that’s my medication. Like it’s hard for me to go to sleep at night…I have insomnia.”

I’m just wandering is Whitney doing to William (that’s what his momma named him) what Bobby did to her? Or did he finally figure out his singing career is going about as far as Cedric The Entertainer Presents?

C’mon Ray!

Ray-J hosted a party last night in Las Vegas for the release of his sex tape with Kim Kardashian. During the event at the Jet Nightclub, they held a Kim Kardashian Look-a-like contest. Those are some of the contestants in the picture.

Ray-J thought he got over on by “leaking” the tape, but in the end he is the one who got screwed. He received $1 million for the tape. Kim, who claims she was not in favor of the release of the tape, sued Vivid entertainment. They have settled and she has received $5 million.

I can’t be mad at either one of them! A whole of people are making the same tapes for free a whole lot less!
