R&B star Rihanna insists the press have got it wrong about her romance with Chris Brown, because they are “just good friends”.  The pair has been inseparable for months, vacationing together, being photographed smooching and even exchanging expensive jewelery and getting matching tattoos etched.

But the Umbrella hitmaker insists they are only friends, and are definitely not sleeping together.  During an appearance on U.S. TV show The View on Monday, Rihanna said, “We hang out a lot. We are very close. He’s an amazing person. But we are not dating. We are very close, very, very close.”

When grilled on the difference between their friendship and ‘dating’, Rihanna replied, “There’s a big difference and I think you know what.”

Maybe I don’t know what constitutes dating anymore, but it sounds to me like they are in fact dating.  CB just hasn’t quite closed the deal yet.

Pookie wouldn’t mind a piece of that! Chris Rock and Rihanna attended the Madonna and Gucci Charity Drive last night to benefit orphans of Malawi that have been effected by HIV/AIDS.

His face pretty much says it all!

Shoes, clothes, alchol…you name it and some superstar has probably promoted it. Well now add umbrellas to the list. Rihanna is riding the wave of her hit song Umbrella, by releasing a line of umbrellas through Totes.

I can’t even be mad at the sister. You know people somewhere are buying these things. Me, not so much. I’ll stick to my ol’ school poncho.

This is the new video from Rihanna titled “Shut Up and Drive.” Must be honest, I could not make it to the end of the video as the song sounded like nails on a chalkboard to me. Watch for yourself!

We better get used to this. Rihanna Appears in Elle Magazine’s Music section for July. She gives a few interesting answers:

• On her dream collaborator: “I’d love to record with André 3000. He’s funky, whether it’s production-wise or it’s him rapping. ‘Hey Ya!’ is one of my favorite songs, but you know what I really love? His remix of ‘Walk It Out.’” 
• On her favorite producer: “Timbaland [is a] genius. He takes the work seriously without taking it too seriously.”
• On her style influences: “I’m influenced a lot by Japanese girls, not just in Tokyo, but all over. They walk down the street looking like they’re going to shoot a video with the hair, makeup, heels and tiny, tiny shorts. It’s crazy.”

As her single “Umbrella,” remains at the top of the charts, Rihanna is Named 2007 Venus Breeze “Celebrity Legs of a Goddess.”  Not sure who gets to vote on this stuff, but GOOD JOB!!!
