R&B stars Chris Brown and Ne-Yo have been recruited by bosses at chewing gum giant Wrigley to write jingles for its new commercials.  Brown’s song Forever is to be used for promotional campaigns for Wrigley’s Doublemint gum, while Ne-Yo will remix a jingle for the Big Red brand.

The new jingles are set to be unveiled at a concert in New York today, with adverts launching shortly  afterwards.

Snoop Dogg has recorded the theme for upcoming Bollywood film Singh Is King, starring Akshay Kumar.

Diddy is to launch an extensive search for a second personal assistant on a new VH1 reality show called I Want To Work For Diddy. The rap mogul found an aide last year by asking potential candidates to post an “audition” film on YouTube.com.

Snoop Dogg’s wife, Shante Broadus,  has been cleared of driving under the influence of marijuana, because police failed to provide enough evidence against her. Shante Broadus was pulled over in the early hours of June 14th while driving in Fullerton, California. She was detained and booked on DUI charges.
But the Orange County District Attorney has rejected the case, claiming there is insufficient evidence to prove her driving was impaired.

How do you prove someone is driving under the influence of marijuana without a blood test? They should have filed a countersuit against the arresting officers for wasting their time.

Snoop Dogg may be the most diverse artist in hip hop, as he has just embraced the Bollywood industry and will be making a video with the Indian superstar Akshay Kumar. Kumar, has more than 80 South Asian films under his belt, with his most popular being a Khiladi movie series where he plays an Indian version of the superspy James Bond. According to the New York Post, the two will meet in August to begin work on the project, which will be used as the main title to the upcoming film Singh is Kinng.

Snoop Dogg has delivered on his promise to embrace country music after releasing a western-style music video.
The promo clip for new single My Medicine features a cowboy-hat wearing Snoop, who dedicates the video to the late Johnny Cash, branding him “a real American gangster”, reports People.com. The video, which features country stars Willie Nelson, Julianne Hough and Brad Paisley, was inspired by the hip-hop star’s appearance at the Country Music Television Awards in April 2008.

I painfully watched the whole video although I have no clue what he was talking about. I have a strong feeling that his foray into Country Music will not have the results he desires. Just my guess.

Snoop Dogg’s wife, Shante Broadus, has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving. She was pulled over in the early hours of Saturday, June 14th, morning while driving in Fullerton, California. Broadus - who was alone in the car - was detained and booked on charges of driving under the influence. She was released later that day and is pending a court appearance.

She definitely shouldn’t be drinking and driving, but in the last week when you hear about your husband making a Country Music Album, giving Parenting advice, and making an album with Lindsay Lohan, I can see why she took a sip or two too many.

Snoop confesses he’s a huge fan of the Mean Girls star and is reaching out to her with a view to becoming the oddest couple in Hollywood. He tells OK! magazine, “You never know. I like Lindsay. Why not do both a movie and an album?”
