Shaq Spits a Freestyle Dissin’ Kobe

Video of Shaq freestyle Dissing Kobe
Although he says some funny stuff in this freestyle could the big LITTLE man really had thought this was a good idea? I mean c’mon to take shots at Kobe in a rhyme is something I would consider classless, but for him to say “that’s like Kareem thinking that he better me,” at that point somebody…ANYBODY…should have unplugged his mic, came across one cheek with a front hand, then across the other cheek backhanded with the same hand and then threw that big som bitch off the stage.
How can he possibly show that much lack of respect to the NBA’s all time leading scorer, 6 time league MVP and 3 time world champion. Shaq’s relevance to the NBA right now is comparable to Dylon’s relevance to hip hop.
This is outrageous! How do you blame another man for causing your divorce if you’re out doing wrong? Now I’m not one to promote haterism, but I wander if he ever thought about taking care of business at home rather than playing single in the city.
Let me think…his hoop career is coming to an end, I can’t say for sure his rap career ever started, he seems to be a little of his rocker and he’s about to get a divorce. Sounds like another idiotic reality show in the making. Any guesses on which network picks this nonsense up. I’m gonna say VH1.
Tiger Woods Out For The Year
Posted by BrianWatching golf just became boring again for most people to watch and the people at the GA are having a bad day I am sure. Just two days after his classic victory in the U.S. Open in a sudden death playoff to win his 14th major, Tiger Woods has announced that his injured knee needs further surgery and that he will be out for the rest of 2008.
For his knee to be that severely injured, makes this past weekend’s even more remarkable. He was grimacing quite a bit over the weekend from the surgery he had just two months ago, but his knee had not healed as much as he thought it had. So basically he won the U.S. Open with one good leg! Unbelievable.
Bye Bye Benson Bye Bye
Posted by RodThere must have been something in the water former University of Texas running backs were drinking. First Ricky Williams couldn’t pass a drug test and now Cedric Benson can’t pass a field sobriety test. The NFL player has been cut by the Chicago Bears following his second arrest for allegedly operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol
The Bears’ star running back faces a court date this month for allegedly operating a boat on a Texas lake while intoxicated. Benson was hit with a second charge this past weekend after cops say he drove an automobile drunk, not far from the site of his boating arrest weeks ago.
“Cedric displayed a pattern of behavior we will not tolerate,” Bears GM Jerry Angelo says in a statement. “As I said this past weekend, you have to protect your job. Everyone in this organization is held accountable for their actions.”
Benson apologized through attorney David Cornwell, maintaining his innocence on both intoxication charges: “I apologize for making the poor decision to drink and drive during the early morning of Saturday, June 7. Given the incident last month, it was a particularly bad decision. I have no excuse for this lack of judgment. Though I strongly believe that I am not guilty of any crime, I realize that the public and the Bears organization hold me to higher standard.”
Reread his statement again. Does he really think it was a bad decision just because he was arrested on a similar charge a month ago? When has it ever been a good decision to drink and drive?! Benson was such a phenomenal athlete in high school and college, its a shame his pro career has been such a disaster. Hopefully this brother lands on his feet with a new team. After all, he didn’t want to be drafted by the Bears in the first place.
Ken Griffey Jr. Joins the 600 Home Run Club
Posted by Bombay StoriesI was out having some wings last night and Hoggy’s had the Reds versus the marlins game on one of the sets. I was lucky enough to catch Ken Griffey Jr. hitting his 600th home run. I am a professed baseball fan. It was my first sport, and my father was understandably distressed when I decided to give it up my junior year in HS. After all, two year prior I’d had a try-out wit the KC Royals as a pitcher. He thought it was my best sport, but my heart was into basketball. Nevertheless, I have continued to enjoy watching the sport being played.
No one plays the sport with more enthusiasm, passion and God-given ability than “The Kid.” Griffey has the sweetest swing I have ever witnessed. He is a joy to watch swing the bat. Any true baseball fan loves to watch people who just have a seemingly effortless stroke at the plate. Griffey has one; Barry Bonds – love him or hate him—has one; Willie Mays had one, and to hear my father tell it, none had a better swing than Ted Williams.
What struck me as I watched Griffey blast the 3-1 hanging curve ball over the right field wall was that Griffey is now amongst a very exclusive club– Bonds, Aaron, Ruth, Mays, Sosa and now Griffey. What also struck me was that all of the members of Baseballs 600 Homer Club are of color, save Ruth. Another interesting fact is that two of those six men came from the Negro League—Willie Mays and Hank Aaron.
Griffey plays the game the “right” way. He respects it, and pays homage to the men who came before him. Read the rest of this entry »
Carmelo Anthony Arrested For DUI and Apologizes
Posted by Brian
Someone tell Carmelo that when your team is in a heated battle for the last playoff spot in the West, not a good idea to get smashed and try to drive home. After Sunday’s win by his Denver Nuggets over the Houston Rockets, Carmelo may have celebrated a bit too much and was pulled over for the suspicion of DUI.
This is what Melo had to say today:
“I want to apologize to my family, fans and the Denver Nuggets organization for my actions early Monday morning. As a leader, I know they expect a lot from me and I regret putting myself in this situation. I also want to apologize to my teammates for the distraction this has caused,” said Anthony, who is averaging 25.8 points and 7.4 rebounds in 76 games this season.
“Right now, I need to focus on my family and on basketball as my priorities. I want to thank everyone who has continued to support me during this difficult time. My attorneys have asked that I not comment further, however I will continue to cooperate with all parties involved,” Anthony said.
At least he will be available for a playoff run and maybe this will give him some more focus because with that eighth playoff spot, he will need it.
T.O. Needs A Tissue
Posted by BrianI bet Donovan McNabb has this video as his new ringtone! As much as Terrell Owens has ripped people over the last several years and acted a complete fool when things didn’t go his way, authentic or not, he is the last person that should be in front of the cameras crying because they lost the game.
If they rip his Quaterback….they should. You don’t take a trip to Mexico during the playoffs. You get six months off, go then. T.O. may be crying because it is being reported that he paid for the plane tickets as an apology for saying Jessica Simpson could not come to the games. Either way he has several months to think about it.
