T.I. Reality Show: Road To Redemption

T.I Road to Redemption
A TV documentary following T.I. in the final days before his incarceration has been given the greenlight by an Atlanta, Georgia judge.
The Whatever You Like hitmaker – real name Clifford Harris, Jr. – is due to begin a jail sentence this year (09) after pleading guilty to illegal possession of three machine guns and two silencers following his 2007 arrest.
Cameras will follow the hip-hop star before he’s due to sit behind bars on MTV series T.I.’s Road to Redemption – on which he reportedly serves as producer and will receive royalties.
The project will show the rapper as he completes 1,000 hours of community service before returning to court in March (09).
And according to the New York Post, the U.S. Attorney in Atlanta, Georgia has signed off on the project – despite a federal Son of Sam law prohibiting individuals from profiting from their crimes.
The U.S. attorney’s office spokesperson, Patrick Crosby, tells the newspaper, “If he is making money on it, it is not going to count toward his community service.”
But the rapper insists he’s not making money off the show: “I am not profiting from a crime. I would have been able to do this show with or without the crime that was committed. I am looking forward to putting all this behind me and moving forward with my life.”

Chris Brown: A Possibility For Bone Deep
Posted by BrianÂ
Chris Breezy is reportedly set to appear alongside actor Matt Dillon and rapper T.I. in the upcoming thriller Bone Deep. Currently he is in final talks to star in the heist movie to play the role of a crime gang member.
Brown made his big screen debut in 2007′s Stomp the Yard and co-starred in the holiday film This Christmas last year.
50 Dismisses Attack Against T.I.
Posted by Brian50 Cent has denied allegations his new G-Unit song ‘You So Tough’ is aimed at T.I. 50 insists it’s just about “real-life situations”. In the song 50, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo appear to take shots at T.I. with references to the star’s recent illegal weapons charges.
In the song, 50 says: “Nowadays this rap s**t ain’t adding up/How n**gas get caught with 10 machine guns, only get 12 months?”
T.I. reached a plea deal with prosecutors in March over various charges, stemming from an incident last October when he allegedly tried to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers from an undercover agent.
As part of his plea deal, the rapper was sentenced to one year in prison and a minimum of 1,000 hours of community service.
But 50 Cent claims the song isn’t targeted at anyone in particular and is about realistic incidences, just like TV crime series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
He tells MTV.com, “It’s like ‘CSI’: You use real-life situations to create something that’s entertaining without being specific.
“When have you known me to be indirect with an issue? If I had a problem with any artist, trust me, they would know.
“It’s not really directed at him. It’s me taking real-life situations. These things are relevant to hip-hop, period. I make something that’s interesting enough for people to sink their teeth into, and I move forward.”
Intentional or not it does come off to be a shot at T.I., but I have to commend 50 for stepping to the plate to set the story straight. This could have easily escalated into something that Hip Hop doesn’t need.

T.I. Flexes His Star Muscle
Posted by BrianTI help New York City’s Madison Square Garden hostage last night for 2007’s Screamfest tour and he didn’t come alone.
According to MTV, T.I., Jay-Z, Diddy, Swizz Beatz, Ciara, Kanye and 50 Cent were all on stage performing and partying together—at the same time.
50 who isn’t on the Screamfest bill popped up to perform with rumored girlfriend Ciara as well as “I Get Money†in which the G Unit took the stage to perform alongside their boss, Lloyd Banks, Mobb Deep, and Tony Yayo were all present.
As if that wasn’t enough a surprise to please the fans, during T.I.’s performance of “Watch What You Say.†After the first verse, a banner of Jay-Z hands throwing up the dynasty sign rolled down the back of the stage followed by the man himself appearing on stage to finish of his bars.
Jay then announced that the ROC was in the building prompting Kanye West to appear on stage where he began to perform _“Can’t Tell Me Nothing.†According to MTV, As Yey performed, Fif rushed the stage—but there were no incidents and no signs of rivalries — as Kanye rapped, 50 ran around the stage like he was doing a victory lap, stopping along the way to bump shoulders and say what’s up to Tip, ‘Ye and Jay.
Not missing a beat, Diddy also jumped on stage with the other heavyweights as Kanye continued to perform.
If homey aint the king then I don’t who is. Besides Jay who else could gather that type of star power on one stage at the same time? I love T.I. and I respect the hell out of his hustle and I’ll argue that there isn’t another rapper in the game hotter right now. MTV of course got it all wrong with Wayne being the hottest. Hip-hop unity. Gotta love it.
