I hate to say it, but I think Usher has been suckered. They released a statement yesterday that said Tameka was pregnant with Usher’s Child

They said:

 ”We are extremely excited at this point in our lives planning our wedding and the joy that comes with expecting our first child together,” the couple said in a statement released to the Associated Press Wednesday. “We hope people will be happy for us and respect our privacy during this happy period in our lives.”

“What people don’t realize is that Usher and I were friends for nearly seven years and I worked as his personal stylist for five years. I was the only female friend he felt he could talk to.”

When asked about plans for babies, Foster added: “Yes, I do plan to have children with Usher. This is the man I love and plan to spend the rest of my life with, so why wouldn’t I want to share that bond of bringing another life into this world with him?”

She seems to spend a lot of time trying validate their relationship and and cover up the fact that she cheated on her husband and left her kids.

Is what fell through my household as Eddie LeVert, Gladys Knight, Yolanda Adams and Patti LaBelle paid tribute to the late, great Gerald LeVert. I’ll be honest, I’m not big on award show performances these days. Mainly because I get tired of watching rappers prancing around stage and I can’t understand a single word they’re saying. And singers who can sing and dance, but can’t do them both at the same time (Usher and Beyonce are about the only ones I can think of that can). After years of that it just gets old. The BET Awards, however, always forces me to tune in because I know there will be at least one memorable moment, if not more, worth watching for. And last night, for me, it was the tribute to Gerald Levert.

As I looked on, I sat in complete silence as an unforgettable tingle ran through my entire body. I watched four great singers pour out their love for a son, a brother, a friend and a true singer. It made me reflect a little on what music used to be and what it is now. I’m not saying that everything out there these days is a mess, but if you can “wipe me down” while my “Krispy” self says “A Bay Bay…” well I think you know what I’m getting at.

Is it fair to call Gerald LeVert a legend, I don’t know. If not now he will be in that category one day. He always held it down whether he was “Just Coolin” or answering his “Private Line.” And Gerald LeVert didn’t have a problem telling his “Baby Hold On To Me” or admitting that he wasn’t much on “Casanova.” What he did was without a doubt music that made you dance or grab hold to the one you loved, and his sound will be missed.

Thanks BET for that tribute. It was obvious that Gerald LeVert touched so many of his peers and fans alike with his music, personality and unforgettable smile. It’s a shame he had to go so young, but he will not be forgotten…missed but definitely not forgotten.

 

I wouldn’t really call it totally opening up. More like disagreeing with everything that is said about her. There has always been a lot of speculation about why they got engaged and that she was the reason his mom was fired as his manager.

Essence.com: How does Usher get along with your three sons?

T.F.: Usher loves my children. My ex-husband and I have joint custody. It’s a wonderful arrangement that allows me time to do things with Usher one-on-one and to spend time with the kids. I’m not looking for a father for my kids because they have one. They just happen to be lucky enough to have two strong men in their lives.

Essence.com: You’ve been labeled a “poor mom” because supposedly, you’re never with the kids. Your reaction?

T.F.: Do you think Usher would really be engaged to a woman who would leave her kids? My children are with us much more than people think. They’ve gone to the Bahamas with us and attended play-off games. I purposely keep my children out of view. I don’t want them scrutinized and talked about because that would be a problem. Everyone wants to know, “Where are her kids?” Out of these pictures, that’s where.

She sounds like a dead-beat dad usually sounds. “We took them to the Bahamas and to Playoff Games.” Hope she didn’t think she was helping her cause.

You can’t fire your mom on the week of Mother’s Day!! Now what kind of gift can he get her? Usher confirmed yesterday that his mother is no longer managing his career like she has since he was a teen. He says they remain on great terms, but he wanted his mother to just be his mother and not his manager. Yeah, right!

It has been reported that Usher’s mom, Jonetta Patton, does not like his fiancee Tameka Foster and Usher becoming engaged she did not agree with. Tameka has four kids and was only divorced in the last couple of months.

Some also believe that Usher is pissed that his mom is dating a guy that is 36 and she is 50.

Not sure what the real reason is, but changing up your manager when you have been as successful as Usher, seems weird. The saying, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” comes to mind. It seems pretty believable that there is some dislike between his mom and fiancee that led to this. How long before his mom sues him for a couple of millions dollars in money she was not paid?

 R. Kelly and Usher teamed up on a song named “Same Girl,” for R. Kelly’s New album, “Double Up.” Basically they both are telling a story of a girl that they are messing with and as they describe her, they realize they both are being played because she is messing with both of them. Not the best song I have ever heard and even could say it is slightly disappointing since I would expect a little better from the two of them. Oh well!! The radio will still play the hell out of it.

According to Sandra Rose and Natasha at YBF, Usher’s Fiancee Tameka Foster is pregnant. Sandra reports that the baby is Usher’s and that is why they are getting married. Natasha says the Baby is Tameka’s ex-husband’s baby.

With the announcement last week of an engagement and an album due out in November, the time line looks like a publicity stunt.

My Prediction: The baby is not Usher’s. He Stays with Tameka through the summer until about August. They break up and he drops his first single in September about how heart-broken he is. Then the album talks about it on every song and is the total opposite of his last album when he had Confessions.

Tameka already has 3 kids, and they are way too old to be getting married just because someone is pregnant.
