Bernie Mac is alive and recovering from a bout with pneumonia contrary to many media outlets claiming that he has passed away. His publicist, Danica Smith confirmed on Friday, Aug. 8th that Mac was being treated for the deadly illness at a clinic in his native Chicago, Illinois. Smith insists, “Bernie Mac is still alive and being treated in a Chicago hospital for pneumonia and is expected to make a full recovery. We once again ask that the press respect his privacy and that of his family. Mr. Mac is responding well to treatment and will be released soon. He asked that his privacy and that of his family is respected while he gets well.”

Tony Parker has denied that his wife Eva Longoria Parker is pregnant-because they are not trying for a baby. The couple has been plagued by reports that they are expecting ever since Longoria Parker was spotted wearing a loose-fitting dress in New York earlier this month.  Tony states, “She’s not pregnant now if that’s your question. I’m not thinking like that right now.”
